Nokia 3120 Details
Mihir Patel i know that there is inbuilt modem in nokia 3120.i have
DKU-5 cable,but i m not able to connet to internet by nokia-3120.what is the
problem?
Please send me the solution.

If not, at least i belive you have a driver cd for the DKU-5 cable...
I use the same type for a NOKIA 3100.
1) Install the driver.
2) Restart PC
3) Install PC Suite
4) Connect Phone to cable
5) Start PC Suite
6) Select Manage connections
7) Select only SERIAL PORTS
8) Click on customize
9) Select either COM port 3, or if you don't have this, then Nokia "something"
port 1 or something like that.
*if it doesn't work, try changing the port in the customization menu"
**still having problems, try reconecting the cable to the phone and make sure it
says Data Cable Conected**
Ed I switched on my phone this morning and the screen has a black line across it in the centre. It wasn't there before. Anyone know what it means and how to get rid ofit?
RD Rangdal Hyderabad Iam using 3120 since past 11 months, i was not
having any problems for that period.. but last week the phone started
malfunctioning , like switching on/off automatically, and some time not
switching on at all, I complained to local Nokia Dealer, he repaired and the
same problem started the next day.. after visiting 4-5 times the dealer has
accepted to give me a replacement, he is commited to give on 10th may 2006, i
have wait and see the performance of the replaced piece.. otherwise this 3120 is
excellent.. if any body knows how record voice in this set.. please Email me at
the earliest

Re your phone alerts for incoming messages. This can be turned up. I had the
same problem and took it back to the dealer who promptly turned up LOUD for me.
I very rarely miss incoming messages. It is that loud, if you are holding it, it
makes you jump out of your skin. Same for my ring tone. I'm sorry can't advise
how to turn it so just take it back to where you got it and they should do it
for you. Hopes this helps as nothing worse then a phone where the ring and text
tones aren't loud enough!!

gtr very pleased with the durability of the phone. however had to exchange it twice due to "go to" restart and a self-changing clock(?). has some software flaws and ugly display
